A group stocks at their 52 week low

Sensex, Nifty followed global cues and were down over 4% each. Several 'A' group stocks like BEML, BPCL, Canara Bank, GMR Infra, ICICI Bank, IOB IOC, M&M, Reliance Power and Maruti Suzuki have touched their 52-week low in this bear rally.

Markets opened red. During the day it has not shown any signs of recovery as back-to-back bad news of inflation and crude spook float in the market. Inflation for the week ended June 14 has rose further to 11.42% from 11.05%. Crude Futures has hit new all-time high of $141.71 per barrel on the NYMEX today.

It was a dreadful opening session for July series as well. Rate sensitive sectors like auto, banking and realty stocks continue to take beating. Infrastructure sectors like capital goods, telecom and power also got hammered a lot. All indices witnessed huge selling pressure. The Sensex was down 619.60 points or 4.30% at 13802.22, and the Nifty down 179.20 points or 4.15% at 4136.65.
